WEBSTAGER (ONE BIG BROADCAST'S CREATORS) HELPS DOMINATE THE NEWS

It was the night before Christmas and things were not right.

CinemaZoo's founder and animal wrangler of 22 years, Gary Oliver, had just been served an eviction notice.

After almost 22 years in operation, the Pacific Northwest's largest private sanctuary for exotic creatures large and small future was in peril.

People may have good intentions when acquiring an exotic pet but often they don't follow through. It might have been an exotic bird but it made too much noise. That cute little sugar glider looked like a cuddly pet but it was noisy all night and would spray if you tried to hold it. And that pet monitor lizard just ate the owner's cat.

All of the above ended up at CinemaZoo. Close to 300 of these exotic creatures were now facing eviction and, what's worse, euthanasia.

FEEL GOOD ENDING

Gary contacted WebStager. We pledged to help. We contacted all traditional media.

Within days local TV stations were airing the news, Vancouver's daily newspaper, The Province, ran a front page story and the drama caught the hearts and minds of the entire province.

The real hero was the ONEBIGBROADCAST digital broadcasting platform. While the news events were happening our team was dominating the Internet with UGC (User Generated Content) content.

Our social media tools allowed us to quickly upload the images to our broadcast-enabled blogs and GPS galleries from one central CMS console. They also delivered all the ongoing updates via email, SMS, social media and social networking sites. Finally our widgets updated web sites and blogs carrying the feeds.

Cinemazoo's news dominated every search term on Google and Yahoo within days. We were able to funnel the traffic into Cinemazoo's donation page.

Money started flowing in online via e-commerce microsite pages WebStager created. Donations poured in as the public opened their wallets, bookings soared and merger talks followed for major zoo funding and expansion.

As Gary Oliver said later during one of his follow-up TV interviews, "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for WebStager."
